The ”New York 30” Bookshelf

The Bookshelf is one of our favorite pieces from the collection. For the design inspiration we go under the water line to the vessels keel fin, the timber blade that provides stability under sail. Semi abstract in shape, we based the shelves on this important part of the sail boat. For some additional interest each shelf is designed with a slightly different shape to reflect natures non typical forms. Round posts passing through each shelf give a connectivity & strength to the piece, a reference back to the boats mast. Bronze leg caps finishing the posts are a signature feature of the collection. The Tasmanian Blackwood solid timber Bookcase shows our design flexibility with its organic feel but high attention to detail, this piece is both beautiful & practical.
